1 day
We start from Nairobi (hotel or airport) our drive north to Laikipia with the Aberdare ridge and Kenya's highest mountain, Mt. Kenya with its 5198 m. We will spend the next days and nights here.
In a cozy guest farm with horses, dogs and other pets, as well as gazelles, zebras and antelopes, we move into a cottage with a view of Mt. Kenya
We use the afternoon to explore the farm and get to know each other.
There is coffee and cake, later a sundowner drink and after dinner we meet by the fireplace for a goodnight drink and a nice chat with our hosts.
2 day
After breakfast on the sun terrace, we start our trip to Solio. There we find the largest rhino population in East Africa. The park is very varied in landscape, from open grassland to marsh on the tree-lined river you will find everything. And there are not only rhinos but also big cats, buffaloes, giraffes and much more. We packed a picnic which we enjoy under a tree with a view.
For afternoon coffee, we are back on our farm and spend a cozy evening together.
3rd day
Today we drive to a beautiful garden to walk to giraffes at the entrance of the Aberdare. As a reward, we will have a nice lunch and relax by the pool or treat ourselves to a massage in the Indian SPA.
(Alternatively for the very sporty we can also go there .. easy tour about 3 hours, sneakers are sufficient)
4th day
We say goodbye to the highlands and head south-west for a little stop at the Thomson Falls to cross the equator. The trip goes to Lake Naivasha where we check in to cottages or to the lodge.
A short trip brings us to Elsamere for "high tea" on the lake. Elsamere is the original house of Joy and Georg Adamson, known for the films "Löwin Elsa" and "Frei Born".
5th day
After breakfast, we start for a boat trip on the lake. We will see a fascinating bird life and of course hippos. With a little luck, we can watch the majestic osprey catching fish.
After the boat trip, alternatively, a short hike or mountain bike in the Hells Gate on the program. Lunch is served in a small restaurant by the lake or alternatively as a picnic on the way.
As always, we spend the evening together around the campfire or open fireplace.
6th day
We say goodbye to the lake and drive through the Rift Valley past colorful Masai villages to the Massai Mara. We like to stop for a drink, a snack or a photo.
We check in at the Aruba Camp in the comfort tent with veranda facing the river. The possibility for a guided hike in the afternoon is offered.
7th day
Today, after breakfast in the morning, we will start for a full day excursion to the Massai Mara. The trip takes us through a varied landscape to the Mara River. We take our picnic in the park. After a sundowner around the campfire, the 3-course dinner awaits you in the restaurant.
8th day
You will wake up at 6am with coffee and biscuits for a morning game drive, and around 9:30 am you will return to the veranda for breakfast. A guide will be happy to take a walk to the Massai Manyatta village or along the river. After lunch, drive back to the park at 15:30. And in the evening at the campfire we look forward to safari stories from you.
9th day
It goes again to the early-stalking and afternoon game drive to make a last time photo-hunt. A sundowner in the park completes the day.
10th day
We bring you back to Nairobi and say goodbye with a last meal together.
(alternatively and for a surcharge, a return flight to Nairobi or a continuation flight to Mombasa (south and north) or Malindi is possible)
This safari, which takes you through different landscapes to different cultures, also offers the possibility of the guest farm through the lodge and the tented camp to get to know all types of accommodation. The variety of animals is amazing and impressive, especially in the Maasai Mara. Over these 10 days you have become familiar with most of the Kenyan high-lights and have gained a tremendous impression of this beautiful country from mountains to savannas and lakes.
